Butler County’s newest judge on the Court of Common Pleas was officially sworn-in late last week.
Maura Palumbi took the oath of office in the Butler County Courthouse Friday.
Palumbi was appointed to the position by Governor Josh Shapiro following the retirement of Judge William Shaffer.
Palumbi won both the Republican and Democratic nomination for the seat in the spring. But, since she was unopposed in the fall election, she was named to the position earlier this summer.
