A chilly new year tradition is making its return once again.
The Parker Polar Plunge organizers announced that the event is on for this upcoming New Year’s Day.
The annual event sees a number of brave local residents take a dip into the Allegheny River on January 1st.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m. that day, with the plunge set for 2 p.m.
No pre-registration is required, but you can follow updates on the Parker Polar Plunge Facebook page.
