The State System of Higher Education board of governors are scheduled to meet today to discuss the integration of multiple universities on this side of the state.
The proposed plan would see Clarion, California, and Edinboro all come under the same academic umbrella. The proposal was posted online yesterday and some of the takeaways include that one leadership team will oversee the universities. So one president would be responsible for all three.
All faculty members would be under the one university as well.
The campuses, though, are expected to keep their brand identities–meaning the names Clarion, California, and Edinboro will remain in some capacity.
The board of governors are meeting at 8:30 a.m.
