Chicora Borough is alerting residents and travelers to an upcoming paving project.
Shields Paving will be working to complete milling and repaving of Spring Street (between East Slippery Rock Street and Pine Ridge Drive) and Simpson Avenue (between West Slippery Rock Street and Central Avenue) beginning Friday, September 26th through September 30th.
Milling operations will start on both streets on Friday morning at 7 a.m. and continue throughout the day. The firm will return to begin paving operations at 7:00 a.m. Tuesday (9/30) and continue through the day.
Residents are asked to remove parked cars from the affected streets to allow for full width milling and pavement resurfacing of the areas and to prevent any overspray of tar or materials to vehicles. Traffic flow in the areas will be affected throughout both days. All work is weather dependent and may be rescheduled or prolonged in the event of rain.
