Local demand for pediatric COVID vaccinations is high at the moment as scheduling slots continue to get filled at Butler Health System.
Infectious Disease Director Dr. John Love says the hospital will continue to open up scheduling coinciding with demand.
“We will do what we can manage with staffing and our facility and we will continue to update the website with availability,” Love said. As of this morning, Saturday is the only available date with open pediatric appointments. But, Dr. Love also says Butler Health System isn’t the only vaccination clinic in Butler.
“If a parent finds it more convenient or an early appointment at a retail pharmacy, more power to you, that’s great. As long as your kid gets vaccinated, that’s the goal here.”
Love says if parents have questions about the vaccine for kids, they should consult their family physician.
