The Pittsburgh Penguins have hired a new voice for their radio broadcasts. Joe Brand has been named the new radio play-by-play voice for the upcoming season. The Penguins announced Tuesday that Brand, a 33- year-old studio host and fill-in broadcaster for the Chicago Blackhawks the last three years, will call all their regular-season and playoff games on Penguins Radio Network. He is the third lead play-by-play person hired since Mike Lange retired in 2021
