Pittsburgh Penguins captain Crosby was named as the team’s representative for the NHL’s All-Star game in Toronto. It’s the 10th selection of Crosby’s career — the second-most selections in franchise history, trailing only Mario Lemieux’s 13. This season, Crosby now 22 goals and is on pace for 48, which would be his highest single-season total since netting 51 in 2009-10. One player from each NHL team was named for the All-Star game yesterday. The remaining 12 players will be determined by fan vote.
