The Los Angeles Kings defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-2 last night. Goaltender Tristan Jarry allowed all six goals – just hours after being named to the NHL All-Star game in February. Jarry entered the game with the best goals-against average in the NHL. The Pens actually tied the game 2-2 early in the third period, but the Kings dominated the remainder of the game.
The Pens have now lost two of their past three games. Their six-game road trip continues Saturday night when they visit the San Jose Sharks. Face-off is 10:30pm. Pre-game begins at 10pm on WISR.
Penguins forward Jake Guentzel is the team’s candidate for the “Last Men In” fan voting to reach the All-Star game. Fans can vote through January 17th at NHL.com.
