The Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the New Jersey Devils on Friday night by a score of 4-2
The Penguins took a 2-1 lead on goals by Evgeni Malkin (12) and Jeff Carter (6), but failed to hold that lead in the second period when the Devils struck for 3 goals. The Penguins also went 0-9 on the power play.
Jack Hughes scored his 19th and 20th goals for the Devils, including an empty net goal that sealed the game at 4-2.
The Penguins have now lost 4 in a row. They will pick up action again after New Years on Monday against the Boston Bruins at 2 PM, hear coverage of that game beginning at 1:30 PM on WISR.
