The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 last night in Game 2 of their first-round Stanley Cup Playoff series. Bryan Rust and Jeff Carter scored the Penguins goals in the first period. Tristan Jarry stopped 37 of 38 shots on net.
The series is even at one-game a piece and will move to New York for Games 3 and 4 Thursday and Saturday.
The series is guaranteed to come back to Pittsburgh for a Game 5 next Monday, with tickets going on sale for that game at PPG Paints Arena this morning.
