The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 3-2 in a shoot-out last night at PPG Paints Arena. It was the first meeting of the season for the division-rivals. Kris Letang netted the shoot-out winning goal. Evgeni Malkin scored in the shoot-out and also netted his 12th goal of the season in regulation. Patric Hornqvist returned to the line-up after a one-game absence and scored his 12th goal of the year. Both of those goals came in the third period and both were on a power play.
The Pens will host Anaheim Saturday at 7pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 6:30pm.
