Penn State Extension is offering the first in a series of online programs later this week about local land-use issues.
A 75-minute webinar titled “Motivating and Engaging Volunteers in Local Governance and Community Planning” will begin at noon Wednesday.
Participants will learn about the latest trends in volunteerism as well as insights into generational and cultural differences that can influence volunteer motivation in community service.
A local government planning specialist with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Governor’s Center for Local Government Services will share examples of volunteers in action in local communities.
This monthly land-use webinar series offered by Penn State Extension for a minor fee will continue through May. This program will be recorded and available for future viewing with more information available on the Penn State Extension website.
