A source of educational information about agriculture and animals is expanding.
After debuting timely production-related messages about dairy and poultry over the phone last year, Penn State Extension is now offering information about livestock production on their Animal Systems Hotline.
Extension educators will cover various topics including food safety, feed management, health and disease as well as new and emerging animal agriculture industry issues. These three-to-five-minute messages will be updated weekly on Mondays for producers with limited or no internet access.
Four extensions are active with dairy concerns, poultry messages, the third with livestock information, and the last for asking questions of the experts. Call 888-655-2407 to learn more.
