It’s become an annual dance party at Penn State University, and it continues to bring in big money for charity.
Regina Duesler is a student and executive director of the THON Dance Marathon.
“We raise funds each year for Penn State’s Children’s Hospital for kids with cancer,” Duesler said. “Since 1977 we have raised over $168 million and this past weekend we had over 700 people dance for 46 hours. This weekend we raised $11.6 million,” Duesler said.
THON is the largest student run philanthropic event worldwide.
