A Pennsylvania Department of Transportation project to add more parking spaces for tractor trailers along highways has resulted in an addition in Butler County.
Last month truck parking spaces marked with signage installed by PennDOT were added at the weigh stations on Interstate 79 northbound and southbound.
PennDOT officials recently announced a plan to add more than 1,200 truck parking spaces statewide by the end of this year.
Officials say the spots are being added to help trucks park in safer locations so they can get their required rest.
