The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is continuing spring road project maintenance work around Butler County this week.
These activities include drainage work along Renfrew Road in Penn Township, Prospect Road in Forward Township, Branchton Road in Slippery Rock, Little Creek Road in Lancaster Township, Cemetery Road in Marion Township, and Eau Claire Road in Mercer Township along with patching which will be taking place on Routes 422 as well as Benbrook Road in Center Township, and West Sunbury Road in Marion Township.
Leveling will take place on Meridian Road in Butler Township, Creek Road in Penn Township, and West Road in Adams and Middlesex Townships. Shoulder cutting and mowing is planned for Route 528 and Dick Road in Connoquenessing and Franklin Townships as well as Country Lane Road in Franklin Township, and Route 19 in Muddycreek Township while bridge cleaning will occur along Interstate 79, Route 8, and Route 228.
A Three Degree Road paving project in Penn and Forward Townships kicks off Monday and continues through the end of the month. A PennDOT contractor is also starting a box culvert replacement project tomorrow on Freeport Road (Route 356) in Summit Township. Finally, the Portersville Bridge Replacement Project in Muddy Creek Township will close all ramps north and southbound to I79 on Monday and Tuesday.
