PennDOT is continuing to evaluate the landslide and repairs on Meridian Road.
According to a PennDOT spokesperson, one of the options they are considering as a permanent fix would be to shift the road to a new location into the hillside.
The landslide impacted the portion of the hill that is closer to the railroad tracks. Currently no structures sit on the hillside where the road could potentially move.
However, PennDOT says there is no timetable for construction as they still have to do additional steps before work can begin.
