The state Department of Health is revising their mask guidance to bring it more in line with new recommendations from the CDC.
Under the plan, those who are fully vaccinated can spend time outdoors without wearing masks.
Although the CDC advised that fully vaccinated people can visit with other fully vaccinated people indoors without masks or social distancing, precautions should still be taken when visiting indoors with unvaccinated people. Those fully vaccinated can also participate in outdoor activities without a mask except in certain situations involving crowded settings. Large indoor gatherings should continue to be avoided.
Additional guidance for those who are fully vaccinated is available through the CDC website. The state encourages those who have not yet received the vaccine to make an appointment to do so in the near future.
