As local communities and college students prepare for the upcoming fall semester, state law enforcement is reminding the public about one of their initiatives.
The Pennsylvania State Police say that Liquor Enforcement Officers from the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement will be teaming with both local and state police to target alcohol related crimes on and around campuses within the Commonwealth.
Officials will also offer educational and enforcement assistance to campus administrators and authorities in an effort to reduce underage consumption of alcohol and preempt alcohol-related problems.
The public is also reminded that a hotline is available for residents to report information regarding concerns about underage drinking. The hotline number is 1-888-Under21 (1-888-863-3721).
