After approving an increase in July, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission officially increased the toll price.
The 4 percent increase was approved on July 1, 2025 and officially went into effect yesterday.
The Turnpike Commission raised the price due to having to pay down debt owed to PennDOT.
Increases of 3.5 to 3 percent are expected to continue starting in 2027 until 2050.
Toll costs drop by nearly 50 percent when using an EZ-Pass.
