The Colorado Avalanche defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second time in four days last night at PPG Paints Arena, this time by a score of 6-4. The Pens never led in the game, and had managed only a 1-1 tie through the first period. The Pens outshot Colorado 45-32 in the game. Tristan Jarry stopped 26 of 31 shots for the Penguins.
The New York Rangers defeated New Jersey 3-1 last night to move four points in front of the Penguins for second place in the Metropolitan Division. The Rangers are now two points behind first place Carolina, after the Hurricanes lost to Buffalo 4-2 last night. The Pens visit the Rangers tomorrow night.
