The Pittsburgh Penguins fell to the Washington Capitals 5-2 last night, snapping a three-game winning streak. The Pens tied the score at 2-2 in the third period, before the Caps scored the game-winning goal on a power play with just over seven minutes remaining in the game.
Washington added two empy-net goals in the final 90 seconds. Branden Tanev and Jake Guentzel scored for the Pens, who went 0-for-4 on the power play. Tristan Jarry stopped 30-of-33 shots.
