The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Detroit Red Wings tonight. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR is 6:30pm. The Red Wings have won six games in a row, including a 4-1 victory over the Pens Tuesday. The Penguins have lost four of their past six games with Detroit.
The Pens may see the return of center Evgeni Malkin tonight. Malkin has been practicing this week after suffering a rib injury last month.
For the eighth consecutive year, NBC Sports is slated to present every NHL Stanley Cup Playoff game nationally across NBC Sports platforms/NBCUniversal networks with as many as 105 playoff games. Postseason action begins April 10th with NBC set to offer its most Stanley Cup Playoff games ever, up to 20 games from the first round through the Stanley Cup Final. Overall, coverage will be presented on NBC, NBCSN and NHL Network, as well as first- and second-round coverage on USA Network and CNBC.
