The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Edmonton Oilers tonight at PPG Paints Arena. It is the first game of a three-game home-stand. Face-off is 8pm. Penguins pre-game on WISR begins at 7:30pm. The game is being featured on the NBC Sports Network.
The Pens will be without center Evgeni Malkin, who was suspended one game for swinging a stick at a Philadelphia Flyers player in Monday’s game.
The Pens will also be without defenseman Olli Maata, who has been placed on injured reserve with an “upper-body” injury suffered in the win over the Flyers.
Columbus defeated Washington 3-0 last night to move two points in front of the Pens in the Metropolitan Division. Currently the Penguins are the final Wild Card in the Eastern Conference, but are just one point in front of Carolina, who defeated Ottawa 4-1 last night.
