The Pittsburgh Penguins visit the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:30pm.
The Penguins, who are 5-7-2 this season, will face the first place teams in the Metropolitan Division in back-to-back games. Carolina is 9-2 through their first 11 games and have 18 points. They are tied with tomorrow night’s opponent, the Washington Capitals, who are 9-3 and also have 18 points in their first 12 games of the NHL season. The Pens have 12 points.
Penguins goaltender Tristan Jarry, playing with AHL affiliate Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, stopped 33 of 34 shots in net yesterday in the team’s 2-1 win over Lehigh in overtime. The Pens have to make a decision on Jarry, who is on loan to the Baby Penguins, by this weekend.
