The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-3 last night at PPG Paints Arena. The Pens blew an early 3-0 lead, allowing four unanswered goals. They also lost newly acquired defenseman Mark Friedman to an injury, after he had scored his first career goal. Friedman was picked up off waivers from the Flyers last week.
The Pens saw the return of team captain Sidney Crosby after he missed one game due to virus protocol. Assistant coach Todd Reirden also returned to the bench.
The two teams meet again Saturday in Pittsburgh. Face-off is 1pm. Pre-game begins on WISR at 12:30pm.
