The Pittsburgh Penguins will open the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Tuesday against the New York Rangers. Face-off will be 7pm at Madison Square Garden. WISR pre-game begins at 6:30pm.
Casey DeSmith will be the Penguins starting goaltender. Tristan Jarry remains out of the lineup with a broken foot and is now considered day-to-day. Winger Jason Zucker is also out for at least the first two games of the series.
The Penguins completed their regular season with a win over Columbus Friday. Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel completed the regular season with 84 points each. It is the first time since the 2005-2006 season that someone other than Crosby or Evgeni Malkin led or shared the team lead in points.
