The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 11-2 Sunday at PPG Paints Arena. After missing their Friday game in New York due to illness, Evgeni Malkin returned to the lineup and scored a hat trick. The Pens broke open a 2-0 game with five goals in the second period. They added four more in the third. Rickard Rakell scored his first goal as a Penguin. Tristan Jarry bounced back to save 33 of 35 shots after being pulled in the 5-1 loss to the Rangers Friday.
