The Pittsburgh Penguins return to play following the NHL All-Star Break tonight when they host the Winnipeg Jets. Face-off is 7pm. Tonight’s game will be head coach Mike Sullivan’s 800th career game behind an NHL bench. 635 of those games are with the Pens.
The Penguins will visit Winnipeg Saturday night as part of back-to-back road games, including a visit to Minnesota Friday night.
The Penguins enter tonight’s game with a 22-17-7 overall record through 46 games, the least amount of games played in the Eastern Conference. They are seven points out of an Eastern Conference playoff spot. Winnipeg’s record is 30-12-5 overall through 47 games. They are currently in a Central Division playoff spot in the Western Conference.
