The Pittsburgh Penguins set their 22-man roster Monday as they prepare to open their regular season tomorrow night in Philadelphia. They will add Kasperi Kapanen as their 23rd man when he is cleared to play. Kapanen has to quarantine for a week after arriving from his native Finland over the weekend.
New this year will be a four to six man taxi sq uad, giving teams added depth because to the pandemic.
The Penquins first home game is Sunday afternoon against Washington beginning at noon. There will be no fans in attendance at PPG Paints Arena for at least the first four home games in January.
