The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Boston Bruins 1-0 Sunday afternoon at PPG Paints Arena. The victory places the Pens in first place in the East Division with seven games remaining. Jake Guentzel scored the only goal of the game, his team-leading 21st goal of the season. Tristan Jarry stopped all 30 shots in net for the Penguins.
The Pens host the Bruins Tuesday at 7pm. Pre-game on WISR is 6:30pm.
They will visit the Washington Capitals for two games later in the week. The Pens complete their regular season with two games in Philadelphia, then host Buffalo for their final two games. They currently lead Washington by one point. The Caps defeated the New York Islanders 6-3 Saturday. The Pens defeated New Jersey 4-2 Saturday.
