The Pittsburgh Penguins begin a three-game road trip tonight in Las Vegas. Face-off is 10pm. WISR pre-game is 9:30pm. Vegas leads the Western Conference Pacific Division.
Penguins captain Sidney Crosby was spotted boarding the team plane for the trip. Crosby is recovering from sports hernia surgery and has been preparing to return. The Pens don’t return home until after visiting Arizona Sunday, so he may be ready to return by the weekend.
The Nashville Predators have fired head coach Peter Laviolette after 5-1/2 seasons and a Stanley Cup Final appearance. The Predators are 19-15-7 this season and have dropped four of their past five games.
