The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the New York Rangers 3-2 last night at PPG Paints Arena. Jake Guentzel scored the game-winner as the Pens came back from a 2-1 deficit in the third period. It was Guentzel’s 100th career goal in the NHL. Tristan Jarry stopped 23 of 25 shots in net. The victory was the Penguins fourth in a row.
The Pens visit the Boston Bruins Tuesday night to begin a four-game road trip. Face-off is 7pm.
The Penguins defeated the Rangers 4-3 in a shootout Friday night. The Pens came back from a 3-1 deficit to win the game. Kris Letang netted the shoot-out winner.
