The Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Boston Bruins 4-1 last night. The win snapped a 10-game losing streak at the Boston Garden. The Pens had not won there since November of 2014. Zach Aston-Reese, Mike Matheson, Jason Zucker and Jake Guentzel scored goals for the Pens. Casey DeSmith stopped 30 of 31 shots in net for the Pens. The New York Islanders defeated the Washington Capitals 8-4 last night, and with the Penguins win, all three teams are now tied atop the East Division with 50 points.
The Vancouver Canucks have had four games postponed due to virus issues. Their game with Calgary was postponed Wednesday. Games scheduled for Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday are also now off.
