The Pittsburgh Penguins won a high scoring game, 7-6 in overtime over the Florida Panthers at PPG Paints Arena. Kris Letang returned from an injury and scored twice, including the game-winner. Letang was playing for the first time in nearly a month, due to injury and the death of his father. The Pens battled back from three deficits in the game and scored three power play goals.
Casey DeSmith stopped just 33 of 39 shots from Florida, after learning he would start the game just 15 minutes prior to the face-off. Tristan Jarry was a late scratch with an upper body injury. He had just returned for two games after recovering from a lower body injury.
The Pens visit Washington Thursday. The two teams will begin the night tied for fourth place in the Metropolitan Division. The Capitals lost 3-2 to Colorado last night.
