A man is in custody after attempting to steal around $400 worth of alcohol from a Sheetz in Butler.
On Tuesday night, shortly before midnight, Butler Township Police were called to the scene of the Sheetz on the 400 block of Evans City Road.
18-year-old Jamie Davis of Petrolia is accused of taking alcohol then failed to stop for police. Police say he then intentionally crashed his vehicle into an officer’s police car and then fled on foot. Davis was eventually found hiding in the woods.
Davis is now facing several charges including aggravated assault, DUI, retail theft, fleeing and eluding.
