September is National College Savings Month and families of students have the opportunity to participate in upcoming online programs.
The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will be hosting a webinar at 1 p.m. Monday titled “Financial Aid 101” while the Pennsylvania Treasury Department hosts “Overview of the PA 529 College & Career Savings Program” Tuesday at 11 a.m.
These free virtual presentations will review higher education costs, types of financial aid available, and how to apply for financial aid. Students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA to the Department of Education but help is available.
Those who are interested in participating in these webinars should visit the PHEAA of Department of Treasury websites for information about registering.
