The Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association gave the go-ahead for fall sports in the state Wednesday. The league released guidelines that include no fans allowed at athletic events, and teams must shut down for 14 days if an athlete tests positive for COVID-19. The PIAA will meet again in late August to determine season-length and review the health situation at that time.
The Northeast Conference – which includes Duquesne and Saint Francis in football – has postponed all fall sports athletics and championships. They will re-evaluate in October.
