The Freeport girls soccer team defeated Lancaster Catholic 1-0 in the PIAA Class 2A Quarterfinals Saturday in Altoona, and have earned their first-ever trip to the state Semifinals. Camryn Woods scored her 25th goal of the season six minutes into the match and Alyssa Alcorn made several stops to record the shutout for the Yellow Jackets. Freeport will meet Burrell Tuesday night at 7pm. The match will be played at Fox Chapel high school.
The Seneca Valley boys soccer team defeated Warwick 1-0 Saturday in Chambersburg. Owen Eastgate scored the only goal of the game, sending the Raiders back to the State Semifinals for the first time since they won the 2022 state title. Seneca Valley will meet Abington at Chambersburg high school tomorrow afternoon at 3pm.
The Seneca Valley girls soccer team were knocked out by Central Bucks East 3-1 in their state Quarterfinal match.
The Mars girls volleyball team had their season end Saturday following a 3-1 loss to Beaver in the PIAA Quarterfinals.
