Boys Soccer:
–Seneca Valley defeated State College 7-3 to open the PIAA tournament. The Raiders have played in the past two state championship games.
–Charleroi defeated Karns City 3-0 in the Class 1A First Round.
–WPIAL Champion Pine-Richland was upset by Warwick 2-1 in a shootout. It is the first time in three years the WPIAL Class 4A champion has been knocked out of the state tournament in the First Round.
Girls Soccer:
–Mars rebounded from the loss in the WPIAL title game with a 5-0 road win at Bradford last night in the Class 3A First Round.
–The Karns City girls defeated Penns Valley 4-0 in the opening round of the Class 1A state playoffs.
–Fort LeBoeuf ended the North Catholic girls season with a 3-2 win in overtime in the Class 2A First Round.
–North Allegheny defeated Warwick 3-1 in the Class 4A First Round.
