The local chapter of the Pro Football Writers of America have voted Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett their team Rookie of the Year over wide receiver George Pickens. Pickett became the first NFL rookie to throw game-winning touchdowns in the final minute in back-to-back weeks. He enters the final week of the regular season with 2,209 passing yards and six touchdowns. Pickett also has nine interceptions, 236 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He is the third Steelers quarterback to receive the honor, following Kordell Stewart and Ben Roethlisberger.
The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Cleveland Browns for a 1pm kick-off Sunday.
There is no Thursday Night Football game this week. The NFL will have two Saturday games. Las Vegas will host Kansas City at 4:25pm. The Chiefs are 13-3 this season, and currently hold the top seed in the AFC by a half-game over Buffalo. Jacksonville will host Tennessee for an 8:15pm kick-off. The winner of that game will claim the AFC South Division title.
