A longtime member of Butler’s aviation and art communities has died.
Larry Burtner passed away last week in Lawrenceville.
Burtner was a Butler High School grad who served as a member of the U.S. Army.
Upon his return home, he used his aviation skills to train local pilots, mainly at the Butler Farm Show Grounds.
He also was a longtime board member of both the Butler County Airport Authority and Associated Artists of Butler County, being a very active member at the Butler Arts Center.
Burtner was 87.
