The Pittsburgh Pirates made a trade yesterday sending starting pitcher Johan Oviedo to the Boston Red Sox for outfielder Jhostynxon Garcia and pitcher Jesus Travieso. Garcia is a top-100 prospect in Major League Baseball and is known for his power. Travieso is an 18-year right handed pitcher.
Oviedo returned to the Pirates last year after Tommy John surgery. The Pirates also shipped catcher Adonys Guzman and left-hander Tyler Samaniego.
