The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 8-6 Sunday and took two of three games in their weekend series. The Pirates hit four home runs in the game. Last year the Bucs were last in the majors in home runs. This season they are 13th overall and have five players in double-digits before the All-Star break since 2016.
Third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes led the Bucs with three hits, including a double and home run.
The Pirates are now in Florida to open a four-game series with the Miami Marlins tonight. First pitch is 6:40pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:15pm.
