The Pittsburgh Pirates lost to the Kansas City Royals 7-3 last night. Chad Kuhl started a Pirates game for the first time since mid-April. He allowed three runs on six hits over four innings. Kuhl did not walk a batter and struck out five.
Bryan Reynolds hit his seventh home run of the season. Adam Frazier had a hit and now leads the major league’s with 69 hits this year. The loss left the Bucs with an 8-20 record for the month of May.
The Pirates and Royals play again tonight at 8:10pm. WISR pre-game begins at 7:45pm. The Pirates are off Wednesday and return to Pittsburgh to host Miami Thursday.
