The Pittsburgh Pirates fell on the road to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday afternoon, the final 5-1.
Tyler Anderson started on the mound for the Pirates. He pitched five innings, and allowed five hits and three runs while striking out seven. The Pittsburgh pitching staff totaled a combined 12 strikeouts in Saturday’s loss. Pittsburgh’s Ke’Bryan Hayes left Saturday’s contest with an undisclosed wrist injury. His status was not known as of Sunday morning.
The Buccos and Cubs will wrap up their three game series on Sunday afternoon in Chicago. Sunday’s first pitch is scheduled for 2:20pm.
