The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed veteran left-handed starting pitcher Tyler Anderson to a one-year $2.5 million contract. Anderson has pitched for the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies. The 30-year old is 22-27 overall since breaking into the major leagues in 2016, with a 4.65 ERA in 82 starts. Last year he made 11 starts in 13 appearances with the Giants and had a 4.37 ERA.
Pitchers and catchers will have their first workout at the Pirates spring training facility in Bradenton today.
