The Arizona Diamondbacks defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-3 Thursday afternoon to take three of four games in their series. The Bucs led the game 3-2 until Arizona scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Pirates starting pitcher JT Brubaker allowed just two runs on three hits over five innings. He walked two and struck out six. Reliever Chase De Jong took the loss, allowing three of the seventh inning runs. Yerry De Los Santos failed to retire a batter, allowing four more runs and three walks in that inning.
The Pirates had just five singles in the game, and went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
The Pirates are now in San Francisco to complete their 10-game road trip. Tonight’s game has a first pitch of 10:15pm. WISR pre-game is 9:50pm.

The Pirates return home following the game and after an off-day Monday, they will host the Boston Red Sox.
