The Pittsburgh Pirates open a three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight at PNC Park. First pitch is 7:05pm. Pre-game on WISR 680am is 6:40pm. JT Brubaker will start for the Bucs. He is 4-4 with a 3.74 ERA this season. He will be making his first start since May 29th after spending time on the bereavement list following the death of his grandmother.
The Pirates begin the night 23-35 overall, good for the second-worst record in the National League. The Dodgers are 34-25, good for the third-best record in the National League – but they are third place in the West Division. They trail San Francisco by three games.
The Toronto Blue Jays will not be returning to their stadium in Canada until at least mid-July. The Blue Jays have committed to playing at the Triple-A affiliate location in Buffalo because of coronavirus border restrictions. Toronto spent the past two months at the spring training facility in Florida before moving to Buffalo last week.
