The Pittsburgh Pirates pitchers and catchers begin practices today in Bradenton, Florida. The remainder of the team will report by this weekend. The Pirates first spring training game will be against Baltimore in Sarasota Saturday, February 21st.
Former Pirates infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa and the Boston Red Sox finalized a $6 million, one-year contract. The 30- year-old hit .262 with two homers and 40 RBIs in 138 games in 2025 for the Pirates and Toronto last season.
